Culture Catalyst Workshops
1. Bespoke Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Workshops
The proper management of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging are an integral facet of corporate success. Organisations place, not only their brand, but also the sustainability of
the entire company at risk if they do not effectively embrace the challenges and opportunities that diversity brings. Mismanaged diversity fosters exclusion, alienation, demotivation,
conflict, misunderstanding, disengagement and mistrust. On the contrary, well managed diversity enable’s inclusion, creativity, innovation, synergy, trust and engagement – an
environment in which people are able to bring their heart and soul (discretionary effort) to the workplace.
The challenge is thus not only about acknowledging the organisation’s diversity mix, but in making it work. Creating inclusion is challenging, with most change initiatives failing to effect authentic change on an individual, team and/or organisational level. Research indicates that huge budgets have often been wasted on initiatives that produce superficial awareness and artificial harmony.

Specific outcomes of the workshop content: Participants will achieve the workshop outcome by being able to:
- Understand the impact of diversity on team functioning
- Be aware of diversity within their organisation and its influence on them as individuals.
- Understand identity, culture, stereotyping, and prejudice as basic concepts of diversity.
- Shifting mindset from compliance to commitment
- Creating a psychologically safe environment to foster trust and containment
- Taking personal responsibility for creating such an organisational culture
Training methodology: Our DEIB intervention is highly interactive. Experiential activities, group discussions, theoretical inputs, simulation exercises, and case studies are used to achieve the workshop outcomes. The facilitators create a safe environment for participants to work with organisational diversity issues on a theoretical as well as practical level. Furthermore, participants will use examples from their own organisations, thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace. As with all our training programmes, we strive to effect actual change at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes-based training.
2. Wholehearted Teams Workshops
These interventions will take teams to the next level of connection, moving them from head to hands/heart through sharing resources, dialogue and storytelling/sharing.
The premise is that these three workshops will build on each other as trust also underpins the second and third workshops. Resilience (the capacity to bounce back
from setbacks) cannot be built in unsafe spaces and difficult conversations will only further polarise individuals in the absence of trust.
- Workshop 1 – Sustainable Excellence in Teams: The Trust Factor
- Workshop 2 – Resilience Building: Navigating Change and Disruption in the Workplace
- Workshop 3: The Elephant in the Room: Tackling Uncomfortable Issues Head-On
3. The Explorer Mindset Intervention
This leadership intervention has been created by adventurers and endurance athletes, Peter & Kim Van Kets to inspire and equip leaders, individuals and organisations to navigate the
complex and disruptive environments in which they find themselves. The focus of this leadership intervention is storytelling, (a very African tradition) and the sharing of real-life
experiences in a compelling and extraordinary way. It covers 4 sessions entitled Thrive, Lead, Endure, and Rise.
